-Advanced level configuration and implementation of online field-deployable Chromatotec® gas chromatographs (GC) in Air Pollution and Natural Gas Pipeline Monitoring Systems -Integration of GC systems for use in US EPA Air Quality Monitoring programs pursuant to 40 CFR 50, 53, 58 including ambient air monitoring for air toxics, BTEX, VOCs including carbonyls and Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Station (PAMS) networks -Integration of GCs for application in Natural Gas Distribution & Transmission monitoring systems pursuant to 49 CFR 192.625 and ASTM D7493 including measurement of odorant concentration (Mercaptans), Methane and Hydrogen Sulfides -GC hardware and software configuration, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair -Quality Assurance and Quality Control methods including GC calibrations, verifications, testing and reporting using NIST traceable standards -Collaboration with Chromatotec® Technical Group -Chromatogram analyses and interpretation, data review, data validation using mathematical and statistical functions -Provide technical support & training to industrial and government customers -Research and Development including GC methodology, maintenance procedures, and instrument optimization for compound analysis-Conduct presentations at conferences or trade shows, host web-based technical sessions, prepare technical papers for publication
-Minimum 3 years experience with Chromatotec® Gas Chromatograph manufacturing, configuring and QA/QC.
-Advanced knowledge of gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy including electrochemical, flame ionization and photoionization detection techniques
-Advanced knowledge of metrology practices in chromatographic separation, chemical and physical interaction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Mercaptan and Sulfur compounds
-Professional Certification: IPIQMS 1000
Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or closely related field
